Crash slows southbound Interstate 380 traffic
No one was hurt this morning in a crash on Interstate 380 between the H Avenue and Seventh Street exits.
At least two vehicles were involved, including a car and a semi. One car was turned sideways in the roadway.
The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
The driver of one vehicle was a drunk driver that was also an illegal immigrant, Cedar Rapids Police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said. The driver also had two illegal immigrant passengers.
The driver of a semi struck by the car was not hurt.
A friend of the drunk driver was called to come to the scene, and he was also found to be an illegal immigrant, Hamblin said.
