Crash near Kalona sends two to hospital
Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash just south of Kalona Thursday morning.
According to Washington County officials, one car was rear-ended by another car on Highway 1, a quarter mile south of Kalona, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. One of the cars then rolled over, according to reports.
Two people were taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospitals in Iowa City. Information on their conditions wasn't available.
The Kalona First Responders, Kalona Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and Iowa State Patrol all responded to the scene.
