Corridor holiday closings

Many area offices and services are operating on reduced schedules this week for the Christmas holidays:

Cedar Rapids

City Hall will be closed today and Friday.

Linn County offices will be closed today and Friday. They will reopen Monday.

Trash will not be collected Friday, so solid waste and recycling employees will be picking up garbage Saturday.

Landfills in Linn County will be open today from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be closed Friday and will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The Cedar Rapids Public Library will be open today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be closed Friday.

Parking meters will not be enforced today or Friday. City ramps will operate as though it is a weekend. The city's parking office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to noon today but will be closed Friday.

City buses will operate on a reduced schedule today so peak period trips will not be available. The buses will not run Friday.

Post offices in Cedar Rapids will be open till noon today and closed Friday.

Federal courts are open today and closed Friday.

Marion

Trash will be picked up today. The normal Friday route will be collected Saturday.

The Marion Public Library will be closed today and Friday.

Hiawatha

The Hiawatha Public Library will be closed today and Friday.

Robins

City Hall will be closed today and Friday.

Iowa City

City administrative offices at City Hall will be closed today and Friday.

Iowa City Transit will be running a Saturday schedule on today until 5 p.m. No buses will run Friday.

Parking meters and ramps will not be enforced today and Friday.

The Iowa City Public Library will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and closed Friday.

The Iowa City/Johnson County Senior Center will be closed today and Friday, but meals will be served. It will be closed Saturday and no meals will be served.

The Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center's offices will be closed today, Friday and Saturday. The building will close at 5 p.m. today and the pool at 3 p.m. today. All facilities will be closed Friday. On Saturday the building will be open 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the pool will open at 1 p.m.

The landfill will be open today and closed Friday.

Refuse, recycling and yard waste will be collected today, but not Friday. Friday services will be collected Monday.

The Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed today and Friday.

Johnson County offices and the Johnson County District Courthouse will be closed today and Friday.

Coralville

Coralville City Hall, city departments and police administration will close at noon today and stay closed Friday.

The Coralville Recreation Center will be closed today and Friday.

The Coralville Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and closed Friday.

Coralville Transit will run a Saturday schedule today and will be closed Friday.

Garbage and recycling scheduled for Friday will be picked up Monday.

State

State courts and offices will be closed today and Friday.

DOT driver's license stations will be open today and closed Friday and Saturday.

Iowa Workforce Development offices will closed today and Friday.
