Mar. 14, 2012 11:00 pm
The Coralville Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a 12-week-old beagle-chihuahua-pug mix named Monty who was taken last week from Woofables Dog Bakery in Coralville.
Monty, who was taken March 9, weighs about 12 pounds, has brindle coloring and was wearing a maroon collar without tags when he was taken from the business at 1801 Second St. #170, according to the Coralville Police Department.
Monty was last seen being held by a white female with a fair complexion, standing between 5 feet 3 inches tall and 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds with shoulder length light brown hair, police reported. The woman was with a white male in his mid-20s, weighing about 175 pounds and standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall with short brown hair.
Investigators believe the couple walked out of the bakery with the dog while the owner was helping other customers.
The owners are offering a $100 reward for information related to Monty's safe return. Anyone with information can call Coralville police at 319-248-1800.
