A Chicago man is accused of touching a 7-year-old girl's genitals and then getting on top of her 5-year-old sister in Iowa City last December.
Donte J. Walker, 18, has been charged with two counts of lascivious acts with a child, a class C felony punishable by 10 years in prison on each count.
A woman told police on Jan. 25 that her 7-year-old daughter said that “Donte” was a bad person. When asked what she meant, the girl told her mother and grandmother that Walker had touched her in her private parts with his hand while he was clothed and naked and that it hurt, according to a criminal complaint.
He then got on top of the girl's 5-year-old sister, according to the complaint.
Walker told the girl that he would kill her if she told anyone, according to the complaint.
The mother told police she believed the incident happened after school in December while they lived in Iowa City. It was not clear if the family still lives in Iowa City.
Iowa City police Sgt. Denise Brotherton said Walker fled to Chicago, where he was picked up on a warrant a couple of weeks ago. He was in Johnson County Jail Wednesday morning on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
