The charges against the co-owners of strip bar Woody's Show Club have been amended and their trials are reset in Linn County District Court.
Bryan Bresler, 32, and Justin Brown, 33, both of Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty last month to public indecent exposure. Bresler will stand trial Oct. 11 and Brown's trial is set Nov. 1.
The men are accused of employing underage girls to dance at the strip bar. At least two teens, ages 16 and 17, performed at the club last year, according to court records.
Both men were originally charged with felony sexual exploitation of a minor, but the charges were amended to the misdemeanor offense because the prosecution can't prove the men knew the underage dancers were being filmed, Assistant Linn County Attorney Nick Scott said.
Scott said the knowledge that the minor is being photographed or filmed is the basic difference between the two charges.
