Center Point soldier injured in Afghanistan
CENTER POINT - A battle in Afghanistan has left an Eastern Iowa soldier injured this week.
PFC. Matthew Courter of Center Point is a combat medic with the U.S. Army. He was shot in the arm on Friday.
Courter was flown to Germany today for surgery. His family tells KCRG-TV9 he was shot right above the elbow.
Courter is a combat medic and always dreamed of being in the military, his family said.
