Cedar Rapids woman arrested for prostitution
A Cedar Rapids woman has been arrested after offering an undercover officer sex in exchange for money.
Keri K. Barber, 42, of 182 14th Ave. SW, Apt. A, has been charged with prostitution after the incident Wednesday evening. She is accused of offering oral sex in exchange for $40 in the 1300 block of First Street SW, police said.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said the undercover officer approached the woman after they received reports of a woman in the area asking for money for sexual favors.
Barber was taken to the Linn County Jail. She was later released on her own recognizance.
