Cedar Rapids squad car involved in crash
A Cedar Rapids police squad car was involved in an accident this afternoon at the intersection of Johnson Avenue and Edgewood Road NW.
No one was hurt in the accident, which was reported just before 1:30 p.m.
According to Cedar Rapids Police Lt. Kenneth Washburn, the officer driving the squad car was westbound on Johnson Avenue, "running hot" to a medical call, when a vehicle southbound on Edgewood Road struck the squad car in the passenger rear door.
