Cedar Rapids pools announce hours for Memorial Day, summer

CEDAR RAPIDS - Bever Pool, 2700 Bever Ave. SE, will be open for preseason hours over the three-day Memorial Day weekend. Lap swims will be held there Saturday, May 29 and May 30 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Open swims are scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and May 29, and 1 to 5 p.m. May 30. Bever and the city's four other outdoor pools - Ellis Pool, 2000 Ellis Blvd. NW; Jones Pool, 201 Wilson Ave. Dr. SW; Cherry Hill Aquatic Center, 341 Stoney Point Rd. NW; and Noelridge Aquatic Center, 1248 42nd St. NE - will open for full summer hours on June 3. Lap swimming will be from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. that day and open swimming begins at 1 p.m.

The indoor Bender Pool, 940 14th Ave. SE, is open year-round.
