Cedar Rapids police seek suspect in weekend stabbing
Cedar Rapids police investigated a stabbing Sunday afternoon and are still looking for a suspect.
Officers were called around 3:15 p.m. to an apartment building 75 Aossey Ln. SW. They found that Cory Bailey, 22, had been stabbed in his left abdomen and his his left wrist.
According to the police report, Bailey tried to break up a fight between two people inside an apartment and another person came up to Bailey and stabbed him. The suspect and one of the people involved in the original fight then left the area, police said.
An ambulance took Bailey to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment, but his condition was unknown. Other details about the incident were not immediately available.
