Cedar Rapids police search for driver who fled crash scene
An early morning crash has Cedar Rapids police searching for the driver who fled the scene on foot.
At about 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a crash and found a car that had crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of First Avenue and 35th Street NE.
A witness living nearby said she saw a flash and then heard a loud boom. She then bolted outside to see several people standing around screaming.
Police say no one was injured in the crash. The driver is still be sought by police.
