Cedar Rapids police involved in standoff

Cedar Rapids police have a man in custody after an hour and a half long standoff at a residence in northeast Cedar Rapids.

Police shut down traffic at 38

No one was injured in the incident and police allowed traffic to resume and neighbors to return to their homes by around 6:45 p.m.

Street off of First Avenue and evacuated homes after they responded to a call around 5 p.m. for a man who they believed may be suicidal.
