Cedar Rapids police investigate shooting

Cedar Rapids police are investigating a shooting this midday. Police say a man walked into the Mercy Medical Center Emergency Room around 12:40 today with a gunshot wound. After talking to the victim officers then responded to the 500 block of 7th Ave. SW.
Police are currently searching a house in that neighborhood. Police spokesperson Cristy Hamblin says the shooting took place during some type of argument.
The victim's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
