Cedar Rapids motel compliant on bed bug complaint
A Cedar Rapids motel has complied with health department requirements regarding a bed bug complaint.
The Collins Inn & Suites, 2025 Werner Ave. NE, submitted the required plan of action, Stephanie Neff, deputy director of Linn County Public Health, said Monday, Jan. 10.
A family claimed they found bed bugs in a room where they were staying New Year's Eve.
“They're staying on track, so we're not needing to take any further action at this time,” Neff said.
The department is authorized to revoke operating licenses of businesses that do not comply with health standards.
