Cedar Rapids man faces charges for assault on 14-year-old
Elias I. Elias, 27, has been charged in connection with an assault on a 14-year-old girl two years ago.
Elias, of Cedar Rapids, made a first appearance Wednesday on charges of lascivious conduct with a minor, indecent exposure, and assault causing bodily injury. He was released pending a May 27 court appearance.
According to the complaint, Elias “forcefully disrobed” the victim “for his own sexual purposes” June 6, 2008, at a home in Cedar Rapids.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said Elias was arrested last August, and “we haven't had any contact with him regarding this case since then.”
