CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Sunday after allegedly grabbing a woman, pushing her down and attempting to remove her pants.
Sella Angelet faces a charge of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, according to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint.
Reports indicate the incident took place in the 3000 block of 12th Avenue SW.
The alleged victim called the Cedar Rapids Police Department, who found evidence of an attempted assault, authorities said. No weapon was involved, and there were no injuries reported, said Maria Johnson, communications manager in the Cedar Rapids City Manager's Office.
Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse is a felony, according to Iowa Code. However, it is classified as an aggravated misdemeanor if no injury occurs.
