Cedar Rapids man charged with assault for stabbing woman

Clayton A. Foreman II faces assault charges after he stabbed a woman early Monday, police said.
Foreman, 27, of 1010 18th St. SW, stabbed the woman in the left thigh and upper back during an argument outside his home, according to the complaint charging him with assault causing bodily injury. He remained in the Linn County Jail Monday night in lieu of $6,500 cash bail.
The victim was released from Mercy Medical Center after treatment for her injuries.
