Jagger Glubka has been cited for failing to yield to a motorcycle in the accident that killed the cycle's rider, Marion police said.
Glubka, 18, of Cedar Rapids, was driving west on Hennessey Parkway the afternoon of March 24 when he pulled across Highway 13 into the path of a motorcycle operated by Matthew Dunkel, 40, of Marion.
Dunkel was pronounced dead at the scene. Both Glubka and Dunkel's passenger, Tami M. Mysak, 51, of Springville, were hospitalized.
Glubka was cited for failure to yield entering a highway causing death. The charge carries an enhanced penalty, a provision allowing the judge to increase the fine by $1,000 and suspend his driver's license for up to 180 days.
Glubka was released after the citation was issued.
