IOWA CITY - A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested in Illinois in connection with a shooting at Pheasant Ridge Apartment complex in Iowa City.
Darius E. Davison, 20, of Cedar Rapids, was taken into custody by the United States Marshal's Service in Bloomington, Ill, early Tuesday in connection to the shooting last week in Iowa City, authorities said.
A warrant for Davison's arrest was issued Feb. 8 with a charge of attempted murder, according to Iowa City police.
Davison was wanted in connection with an altercation that police say took place at 5:27 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 2600 block of Bartlet Road in Iowa City.
Davison is accused of firing at least four rounds and striking another person, according to police. They said the incident was related to a property dispute.
Davison is scheduled to be transported to the Johnson County Jail, pending extradition, according to Iowa City police.
The individual shot remains in stable condition after being taken to University of Iowa Hospitals, authorities said.
