CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man was arrested early Sunday after police say he broke the windshield of several vehicles and an apartment window with a fire extinguisher.
Public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers were dispatched to 88 22nd Ave. SW at 2:49 a.m. Sunday after a caller reported a man throwing an object and breaking a bedroom window to an apartment.
Three vehicles in the apartment parking lot also received windshield damage.
Witnesses said Travis Bouska, 33, was arguing with an apartment complex resident and drove off before officers arrived.
Buelow said police found Bouska driving later in the morning at 33rd Avenue SW and Southgate Court.
He was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence, third-degree criminal mischief and carrying weapons while intoxicated.
Bouska's preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. June 23.
