Cedar Rapids man arrested after short standoff
UPDATE: Cedar Rapids police surrounded a house at 3700 Western Pine Drive NE Wednesday night. There were around a dozen officers surrounding the house for about an hour and a half. Several officers were carrying assault rifles.
Police said they were trying to serve a warrant for the arrest of Riley Trask, 24.
When officers approached the house, Trask refused to come out. After about an hour and a half, police convinced Trask over the phone to come outside.
Trask was arrested on a warrant for domestic assault. He was unarmed.
