A Cedar Rapids man was arrested on suspicion of four felony drug offenses and a tax stamp violation July 8 after authorities say he sold drugs to undercover officers in January and February.
Authorities say Mason P. Gassmann, 22, of 289 Johnson Ave. NW, met an undercover police officer in the parking lot at the BP gas station in Swisher and sold him approximately one ounce of cocaine for $1,000 on January 28 and February 23.
On February 23, Gassmann also sold the officer approximately two ounces of marijuana for $700, police said. The transactions were monitored and recorded by members of the Johnson County multi-agency drug task force, Johnson County Sheriff's reports indicate.
Gassmann was being held at the Johnson County Jail on Wednesday morning. He was later released to the Iowa Department of Corrections.
