Cedar Rapids fire destroys one mobile home, damages two others
CEDAR RAPIDS - A dog died in a mobile home fire that destroyed the residence.
Cedar Rapids firefighters responded to the blaze in the Five Seasons Mobile Home Park around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday for a fire at 132 Summer Circle. Crews encountered a fully-involved fire, requiring a defensive attack, according to Cedar Rapids Public Safety spokesman Greg Buelow.
Buelow said the fire destroyed a mobile home, and two adjacent homes also sustained melted siding. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters, he said.
The fire remains under investigation.
