Cedar Rapids car peppered with gunshots
Gunshots were fired at a vehicle in northwest Cedar Rapids early Monday, but no one was hurt, police said.
Officers responded just before midnight to the 400 block of A Avenue NW, where they found a vehicle riddled with “several” gunshots, according to police. Lt. Kenneth Washburn said his belief was that no one was inside the vehicle when it was shot.
“We have some leads that we're following up on,” Washburn said.
