Cedar Falls credit union robbed

CEDAR FALLS -- Cedar Falls saw its third robbery at a financial institution in as many weeks Saturday.
Police were dispatched to a robbery at Iowa Community Credit Union, 3301 Cedar Heights Dr., about 10:09 a.m., the Cedar Falls Police Department reported. A man gave the teller a note demanding money and left northbound from the bank with an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was displayed.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid-20s to 30s, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing light-colored bluejeans, a gray or navy blue hooded sweatshirt and a white cloth over his face.
There are similarities among the last three robberies and investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding the robbery should contact the Cedar Falls Police Department at (319) 273-8612.
