A Carlisle man has been arrested for six counts of second degree sexual abuse after police say he committed sex acts with an individual under the age of twelve during 2006 and 2007 in Johnson County.
Reports indicate that Donald D. Fetters, 72, of 715 Market Street, Carlisle, allegedly committed the sex acts on the child when they were alone during multiple visits to the residence.
During recorded interviews, Fetters also told an investigator that he had committed sexual abuse multiple times in other jurisdictions, which were later contacted, the Johnson County Sheriff said.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff complaint, Fetters does have a prior conviction for sexual abuse.
Fetters was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $50,000 bond Wednesday morning.
Second degree sexual abuse of more than a single offense is punishable by a possible of life sentence in prison.
