Car, semi collide on Williams Boulevard
UPDATE: Traffic was blocked for about 40 minutes when a car collided with a semi-trailer truck this afternoon.
Officers responded around 12:50 p.m. to the accident at the corner of Williams Boulevard and 16th Avenue SW. Police said the semi driver was trying to turn left in front of the oncoming car.
One person was taken to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.
The semi driver, whose name was not released, was cited for failure to yield.
Traffic resumed to normal when the wreckage was cleared around 1:30 p.m.
