Car hits parked SUV in Cedar Rapids; one hurt
One person was hurt when a car that smashed into the back of a parked vehicle along First Avenue East this morning.
Police said the female driver of the car was westbound around 7:35 a.m. when she swerved over and hit a sport-utility vehicle near the intersection of 14th Street. The officers on the scene did not know why she swerved.
The woman was taken to St. Luke's Hospital. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Traffic was slowed a bit, but not backed up, around the accident scene.
