WILLIAMSBURG – No students were on board a bus that was struck by a car at a four-way stop west of Williamsburg early Wednesday.
It happened around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of County Road V66 and County Road F46. Authorities said the Williamsburg Community School District bus driven by Dwight Lorenz, 70, was westbound when it was hit by a car driven by Suzanne Parsons, 55.
Iowa County Sheriff Robert Rotter said Parsons did not see the stop sign through the dense fog in the area.
Parsons was not seriously hurt, but was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle to be evaluated. Lorenz was not hurt.
