MARYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - When Maryville police saw one car chasing another, officers pulled them over, charging both drivers with DUI - a mother and son.
The Daily Times cited a Maryville Police record in reporting both vehicles were speeding early Sunday when police spotted a Mazda closely following a Chevrolet El Camino.
Police pulled over both vehicles at a convenience store.
The report said 46-year-old Genevieve Hurst Alvarado smelled heavily of alcohol and told officers she had drunk too much.
The police report said Alvarado told officers the El Camino driver - 24-year-old Benjamin Forster of Maryville - was her son. Police said both failed field sobriety tests and Forster fell over backward.
