C.R. prep VanDraska named hockey all-star
CEDAR RAPIDS - Forward Tysen VanDraska of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders has been named an all-star player in the Midwest High School Hockey League, it was announced Monday.
A junior at Cedar Rapids Prairie and state champion long-distance runner, Vandraska led Cedar Rapids with 14 goals and 21 points in 28 games. The all-star selections were made by league coaches.
The prep RoughRiders finished their season with a 4-22-1 record. They failed to make the eight-team league tournament, which is this weekend at Ames.
