FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Four straight two-out hits in the 10th inning gave the Cedar Rapids Kernels three runs that provided a wild 13-10 win Saturday night over Fort Wayne in Midwest League baseball.
Christian Cavaness and Casey Scoggins singled with two outs in the top of the 10th to put runners at the corners. Scoggins stole second base and he and Cavaness then scored on a Nelson Molina two-out single.
Molina stole second and scored on a Luis Arraez RBI hit.
The Kernels (49-43) have won five straight games to improve to 13-10 in the Western Division's second half. The teams play again Sunday.

The Kernels had 23 hits in the game, led by four each from Scoggins and Rainis Silva and three apiece by Kevin Garcia, Arraez, Nelson Molina and Zander Wiel.
Wiel homered twice, both solo.
Starting pitcher Sam Gibbons went the first four innings for the Kernels. Kuo Hua Lo threw three shutout relief innings, but Tom Hackimer allowed two unearned runs in his two innings of work.
