CEDAR RAPIDS - A new burger joint has opened in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Burgerfry, 2020 16th Ave. SW, serves burgers and fries along with grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs and turkey burgers. Burgers range in price from $3.99 to $5.99.
'With the success of Five Guys and In-N-Out Burger, we thought we could do that here,” said owner Ali Igram.
Paul Habhab, Burgerfry manager, said the restaurant offers 16 spreads and toppings so customers can customize their burgers.
Hamburger meat is ground fresh daily from USDA Choice Angus Beef, Habhab said.
Burgerfry also serves hand cut fries made with rice oil, which Habhab said the restaurant chose for a variety of reasons. It's less greasy, he said, and can be eaten by customers with peanut or gluten allergies.
The 2,500-square-foot restaurant seats 68 people, Habhab said.
Burgerfry is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
