Boy hit by car north of Solon
A 12-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle around 4:30 p.m. along Highway 1 and 120th St. NE, north of Solon.
The child was crossing the road to get the mail when a car traveling northbound on Highway 1 hit him at highway speeds.
The boy was taken by helicopter to UIHC with serious injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
