BBQ Roundup under way; free lunch admission, downtown shuttle on Thursday, Friday
The 24th annual Cedar Rapids BBQ Roundup starts Thursday at the intersection of Second Street and Eighth Avenue SE.
Hours of the roundup Thursday are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Admission is $3 for adults, free for kids 12 and under. But for those attending during lunch hours on Thursday and Friday, between, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, admission is free.
Also, the BBQ Bandwagon, sponsored by the U.S. Cellular Center and Downtown District, will run through downtown Cedar rapids from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, offering free rides to anyone downtown who wishes to attend the festival.
