Authorities looking for tips after stolen car torched near Fayette
Fayette County authorities are asking for the public's help after a stolen car was found burned Monday morning.
Deputies discovered the totally destroyed car around 10 a.m. in the ditch in the 8000 block of Hemlock Road, just east of Fayette. About three hours earlier, the owner reported the maroon 1993 Nissan Altima was stolen from Wadena sometime overnight, according to the sheriff's office.
No one was around the car when deputies arrived. An investigation determined the fire was intentionally set.
