ATM at Dubuque bank robbed
UPDATE: Police are investigating the robbery of an automated teller machine at the US Bank branch at 435 John F Kennedy Rd. in Dubuque this morning.
The robbery was reported just before 9 a.m. Police say at least two men robbed the ATM outside the bank and got away with an unknown amount of cash.
Police hauled away a van in connection to the robbery. It was parked behind the neighboring Shopko store, and carried Dubuque County plates.
Kennedy and Hoover elementary schools in Dubuque were placed on external lockdown after the robbery, but that lockdown has since been lifted.
