At least two people injured in crash on Cedar Rapids' southwest side
At least two people were sent to the hospital for care after a two-vehicle accident in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Police, fire and EMS crews responded to the accident near Ely Road SW and Roosevelt Road SW, around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. A police officer at the scene said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
The officer said both vehicles were traveling westbound towards Cedar Rapids when the accident occurred. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch and had to be towed away from the scene.
No more information was immediately available from police.
