Armed robber hits Cedar Falls liquor store

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a liquor store in Cedar Falls.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits at 3925 University Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a man walked into the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from employees. The suspect fled the area with an unknown amount of money.
