Angry Iowa fan spits in officer's face
IOWA CITY, Iowa - An Iowa football fan spit in a police officer's face after learning he was not allowed back into Kinnick Stadium.
Near the end of Saturday's game, police say James Knapp, 71, of Iowa City, jumped over a barrier and onto the field.
Officers arrested Knapp when he allegedly refused to follow them to an exit. While in custody, police told Knapp he wasn't allowed back into the stadium. That's when he allegedly spit in an officer's face.
Knapp faces trespassing and assault charges.
