Anamosa boy rescued from pond after nearly drowning
A 2-year-old boy is recovering this morning after nearly drowning in rural Anamosa last night.
The Jones County Sheriff's Office says the child fell into a pond near a home on Paul's Court.
His father found him and pulled him out of the water. Then he performed CPR on his son.
When emergency crews got there, the boy was breathing. Crews took him to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A neighbor says the boy is recovering well.
