Alzheimer’s Walk set for Sunday in Iowa City

IOWA CITY - The 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer's takes place Sunday at Lower City Park, 200 E. Park Rd. in Iowa City.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. and the walk at 2 p.m.
Hosted by the Alzheimer's Association, the walk aims to raise money and awareness in the battle against Alzheimer's. According to the event website, more than 325 participants from 63 teams are planning to take part in the event. So far, nearly $60,000 has been raised by participants.
Those who attend can choose to walk 1 mile or 2 miles.
