Iowa Regent Universities Fall Enrollment
Among UI's first-year students 47 percent — or 2,458 — are Iowa residents, 41 percent — or 2,170 — are out-of-state students, and 12 percent — or 614 — are international students. Iowa State's freshmen class included 3,586 Iowa students.
After the conclusion of the annual Convocation Ceremony on the east lawn of the Pentacrest on campus, students walked down the T. Anne Cleary Walkway through campus to the President's Block Party. The block party included music, dancing, and food for the new students. Officials project this class will include a record-breaking 5,000 students, from 4,666 new students last year.
