ADM apologizes for noise from Cedar Rapids plant
ADM is apologizing for a noisy night in Cedar Rapids earlier this week.
The company says a pipe came apart on the roof of ADM's corn wet mill facility at 1350 Waconia Avenue SW Monday night. The malfunction caused a low humming noise that spurred complaints from many residents of the area.
The company shut down the blower and worked to repair it yesterday.
A statement from ADM says the company is committed to being a good and responsible neighbor. "We apologize to our neighbors for any inconvenience this situation may have caused," the statement says.
