WATERLOO - Dylan McLaughlin and Erik Foley had two goals each as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders blasted Waterloo, 6-2, in a USHL game Friday night at Youug Arena.
Defenseman Charlie Curti scored the game's first goal for the RoughRders two minutes into the game. Waterloo tied it, 1-1, but Cedar Rapids scored three in a row between the second and third periods for a 4-1 edge.
Cal Burke had the first, followed by McLaghlin and Foley. Waterloo made it 4-2, but the RoughRiders finished it off with a goal from McLaughlin at 16:37 of the third.
Foley made it 6-2 with an empty net goal with 25 seconds left. He also had an ass.ist in the game, which improved Cedar Rapids' record to 4-1.
Waterloo outshot Cedar Rapids fby a 39-35 margin. Ben Biacker was again superb in net for the Riders, earning the win and making 37 saves.
The RoughRiders play Saturday night at Madison.
