15-year-old pleads guilty to robbery

A 15-year-old involved in a robbery last year where Police officer Tim Davis was beaten unconscious pleaded guilty Thursday in Linn County District Court.
Maurice Harden, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and interference with official acts causing serious injury against David Scanlon, 20, of Cedar Rapids. Sentencing is set for March 19.
Davis was beaten unconscious and suffered serious head injuries when he responded to the Scanlon robbery and attempted to stop one of the suspects, Jose Rockiett, 18, of Cedar Rapids. Rockiett, charged with first-degree robbery, willful injury causing serious injury and interference with official acts causing serious injury and/or while displaying a dangerous weapon, is accused of striking Davis, 30.
Rockiett's trial is set for March 9 in Burlington.
