The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library received international recognition for preserving cultural identity and heritage worldwide during a conference hosted in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The internationally acclaimed 4 Musical Tenors are bringing the “Best of Broadway” to the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The exhibit, featuring more than 120 oil paintings, sketches, mixed media works and posters, will be open through March 29, 2026.

The concert will feature Matěj Číp and the Valachia Cimbalom Quartet. The cimbalom is a stringed instrument prominent in folk music in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Číp, also known worldwide as “Cimbalom Guy,” gave an informative lecture and performance at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library last year as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
