Report: Winning Powerball ticket picked in California
The winning numbers for Wednesday's Powerball drawing are 08-27-34-04-19. Powerball is 10.
On Wednesday night lottery officials in California stated that a winner had been found there.
The $1.5 billion jackpot is worth nearly $930 million if the winner chooses an immediate cash payout instead of annual payments over 29 years, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C. and two U.S. territories.
