The Field of Dreams Movie Site announced Thursday that it will host a historic concert event headlined by three-time Grammy-Award winner Tim McGraw on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025. The country music superstar will close out an event that will include a number of additional acts that will be announced in the coming weeks.
Located on a picturesque 193-acre farm near Dyersville, the Field of Dreams has become a symbol of American culture, drawing visitors from around the world to relive the magic of the 1989 film and celebrate America’s pastime.
The concert, organized by U.S. Concert Agency, will serve not only as a celebration of music but also of history, family, and the spirit of baseball. Set on the same iconic field made famous by the movie, the event also will pay tribute to MLB legend Tug McGraw, Tim McGraw’s father, on what would have been his 81st birthday. Tug, who played for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, left an indelible mark on the game, and his legacy will be honored in this unforgettable celebration. Fans can experience the magic of the Field of Dreams in a whole new way, combining the excitement of country music with a heartfelt nod to one of baseball’s greats.
Tickets will be available through StubHub in a variety of ticket options, including $69.99 presale or $99.99 regular with a max of six tickets per order; VIP, and exclusive Home Run VIP packages for $499.99. Presales for the event will begin on Jan. 20, 2025, with general sales launching on Jan. 24, 2025.
The Field of Dreams Movie Site was originally the primary filming location of the film “Field of Dreams” and has since hosted millions of visitors for various events over the past 36 years. The site hosts baseball and softball tournaments throughout the summer and has welcomed high-profile events, including Major League Baseball games and concerts. Visitors find a wealth of activities including house tours, field access, and overnight stays in the house.
The Field of Dreams Movie Site is operated by Dyersville Events Inc., a not-for-profit organization. Dyersville Event is leading the effort to preserve and expand the iconic 297-acre Field of Dreams site, ensuring it remains a place of connection, dreams, and pride for generations to come.
“The Field of Dreams team is honored to host Tim McGraw this summer at the beloved movie site,” said Nathan Runde, president of the Dyersville Events board. “The concert promises to be a celebration of music and community in this beautiful corner of Iowa. The fact that the event also will pay homage to Tim’s late father and MLB legend Tug McGraw, is in the true spirit of what the Field of Dreams is all about: inspiring dreams, uplifting families, and building character. It’s a taste of what’s to come at the Field of Dreams as we continue to preserve and enhance this iconic destination.”
